Roughly two-thirds of all copper produced is used in electrical applications, including wiring, due to its excellent electrical conductivity. Other major uses of copper include plumbing, heating and air conditioning, and industrial valves and fittings. Copper is recyclable without loss of quality, making it the third most recycled metal after iron and aluminum.
